Back-To-School AAC Social Story

As the new school year approaches, we’ve created a social story designed for AAC users to help make going back to school a little easier. Using your child’s talker to communicate is a big part of being “back-to-school ready,” and this story is here to support that!

Get comfy with your child and explore ways to incorporate AAC into daily routines. We’re sharing two versions: one ready to use with pictures and another that allows families to add their own photos to make it more personal.

Not only is this a fun story, but it also helps children understand what to expect at school. Social stories give clear examples of what to do in different situations, making routines easier to follow. By reading together, your child can build confidence, feel prepared, and be ready to participate fully in school life.
